American Theatre article by Marshal W. Mason

The April 2007 issue of American Theatre has an article titled, On the Capriciousness of Critics, written by five-time Tony nominee, Marshal W. Mason.
I enjoyed the article. Mr. Mason has a great sense of humor. His ideas about theater criticism have been written about by others (David Mamet talks about critics in many of his essays).
Has anyone out there read the article?
What do you think?

There are multiple brouhahas going on right now about literary critics and reviewers. I'm not so familiar with theatre, but I'm very interested in the role of the review & reviewer in the arts industries.

Little Bird -
The article talked about the job of the critc as well as the affect critiques have on ticket sales and careers. Some critics are either out to destroy directors, theatres and performers or they are in the pockets of producers and will only say things that are nice and devoid of critical analysis. It's been awhile since I've read the articles so I am laking details to cite. Good to hear from you.
